Timberland

People know Timberland as a well-crafted boot, but rarely think of it as a hand-crafted one. So our partner agency, Creative Co-op, asked us to help change that—specifically for a live, in-store event that paired artisans with customers to design their ideal boot.

A bigger footprint in the “bespoke” market.

To send home the ideas of collaboration and custom design, we created a custom animation: two lines—white representing the customer, and gold for the Timberland artist—appear and gradually merge into the outline of a boot, punctuated with the line “Don’t buy a pair. Create one.” Even in two dimensions, the intent was clear; the outline appeared as an artist’s rendering.

How do we know it was a hit? It generated A LOT of foot traffic.
